Description
Lenses are designed to work within a certain range of distances from a screen surface. These distances can be seen in our lens specification documents. However, due to the versatility of our lens mount design we are able to accommodate specific throw distances that fall outside of the standard range.
Below is the standard focal range of the N1 (the “Optical” range) and also the larger adjustable range (the “Mechanical” range).
N1 Lens Focus Range (m)
- Optical: 1.5 – 8.0m
- Mechanical: 1.0 – 18.0m
The “Optical” range is the distance range that the projector can be positioned from the screen where the lens is able to focus the image. Either side of this distance and the lens focus ring would hit its end stop before the image could be brought into focus. However, we can adjust the lens mount to allow for the positioning of the projector to either be closer or further away from the screen providing the distance required is within the “Mechanical” range of the lens.
This adjustment can be performed by our engineers before shipping.
