Our way to sustainability

In a world of limited resources, threatened by global climate-changes and over-consumption, combined with an ever-increasing demand for higher performance, Norxe desires to offer leading-edge products with a minimal environmental impact, both in materials used, manufacturing processes, lifecycle and collateral impact.

Norxe is headquartered in Norway, which is in ternationally recognized as a stable democracy, for its leading role in materials recycling, near 100% clean andrenewable electric power generationand overall high attention to the conservation of natural resources.

In fact ‘Norxe’means ‘from Norway’ and symbolises itself the high values and standards of our country when it comes to sustainability and forward thinking.

Our way to sustainability
The Norxe organization is flat and compact, ensuring an efficient delivery of products around the globe. Our product develoment and manufacturing, as well as corporate sales, marketing and administration, are all co-located in our modern, state-of-the-art facility in Fredrikstad, Norway. All our employees are treated equally and fairly as free individuals according to national and international labor laws.

Our facility is energy-rated ‘A’ (highest rating) by the Norwegian state-enterprise ENOVA and includes solar panels on the roof for supplemental electrical power-generation. We are connected to the district heating system where water is heated from the local waste-processing plant.

We design our products using non-conflicting materials that are solid and long-lasting that partially have been and largely can be recycled, conforming to the latest international standards for materials use, such as ROHS (EU).

Our manufacturing process is not polluting the environment with toxic chemicals and conform to all relevant standards for manufacturing processes such as REACH (EU).

We package our finished goods in rugged cardboard boxing using very compact, yet highly efficient shock absorbers that allow for maximum protection and virtually eliminating damage during transport, whilst minimizing waste and maximizing recycling.

Norxe projectors are built for servicability to extend operational life beyond  possible failures occuring in the field. We have developed a well documented, modular plan to enable in-field service and repair, enabling trusted service-partners to maintain and upgrade products as needed, thereby minimizing the need for transportation of defect products back to the factory for repair.

Norxe is a pioneer in the projection-industry for using long-life (>50.000 hours), low energy-consumption Solid State Illumination (SSI) light-sources such as LED and laser technology, as well as inorganic long-life imaging components that do not deteriorate over time such as DLP technology.

By using long-life projection-technologies for image generation, a significantly lower energy-footprint is achieved compared to alternative technologies such as LED-walls that consume significantly more electric power. Norxe projection-technology is also easier on the eyes and skin, creating less long-term human stress than observing LED-walls that radiate more energy towards the user.

Norxe projection-technology is much less prone to failure and breakage during installation and operation compared to LED-walls, which again reduces the need for the consumption of raw-materials over time. The rawmaterials consumption of Norxe projectors ‘per-pixel’ is significantly less than that of LED-walls as an example.

Our products are the most compact available in the market when it comes to pixel-resolution and light-output per volume and weight, which again leads to lighter and more sustainable systems-infrastructure where Norxe
products are installed, reducing the need for materials in systems and structures.

Norxe Unify-projectors have highly sophisticated control interfaces, with attention to cyber-security according to developing requirements from demanding customers, that allow for optimal operation in various use-cases,
adapting energy-consumption to actual needs with minimal waste.

Norxe will continously strive to improve sustainability in our organization and products over time in conformance with the latest international requirements to help minimize the impact on the worlds common scarce resources.
