Avion focuses on Full Flight Simulator design, manufacturing, and operation. The company operates a Flight Training Centre at London Luton Airport, offering dry lease hours on their Avion A320neo Full Flight Simulator (FFS). A new FFS for the Boeing 737 MAX is currently being developed.
Avion designs simulators that incorporate all the necessary equipment within the device, unlike traditional simulators, where external cabinets house things like air conditioning, smoke generators, or servers. As airstairs are built in, the training devices don’t need an external access bridge. This streamlined design enables quick and easy installation, allowing the simulator to function as a plug-and-play device that can be used anywhere in the world.
There are two major movements in aviation and pilot training at the moment. The industry wants to become more sustainable, and it’s shifting from a hub-and-spoke to a point-to-point flight operations model. Sustainability and agility have always been at the core of Avion’s identity. Besides staying up to date with the OEMs’ data packages, Avion’s R&D programme concentrates on continuously improving the device’s ability to be ahead of these movements. That’s why Avion has been the manufacturer of the world’s most sustainable Full Flight Simulator since day one.
Avion enables airlines to train at their home base, giving them complete control of the training schedule. This way, airlines can cut costs and CO2 emissions and have a well-rested flight crew. In other words, it benefits economic, environmental and social sustainability targets.
